Clerical Work Experience
The Clerical Transitional Work Experience is an 8 week program that provides students an opportunity to learn elements of the office administrative assistant coupled with customer service skills while training in The Lords Place administrative office. Attendees in this program participate in a cognitive behavioral Intervention program as part of their daily schedule.
This program uses the hands-on approach as well as classroom training sessions. Participants focus on behavior modification activities to address their decision-making abilities that may affect job performance and retention while gaining knowledge and skills that will qualify them to apply for entry level positions in an office setting environment. Additionally, students who complete this training Program may be eligible for a national certification in Microsoft Word.
