The Lord’s Place Foundation

Securing the Future of Compassionate Care

The Lord's Place Foundation is a dedicated, independent entity created to steward long-term gifts and endowments in support of The Lord’s Place, a nonprofit committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness. The Foundation ensures the financial sustainability of The Lord's Place's mission — now and for generations to come — by providing strategic oversight for legacy giving, planned gifts, and long-term investments. It also serves to protect the operational agency's current assets, ensuring that day-to-day services remain strong and uninterrupted.

A message from our Trustee Chair, Cornelia Thornburgh

The newly formed Foundation of The Lord’s Place is a significant step toward ensuring the long-term sustainability of The Lord’s Place. The Foundation, under the current leadership of our former CEO, Diana Stanley, will provide a stable and dedicated source of funding to support the agency’s mission, thereby mitigating the fluctuations of annual fundraising and public grants. By building and stewarding an endowment, the Foundation ensures that The Lord’s Place can continue to deliver life-changing programs, plan strategically for future needs, and maintain financial resilience in times of uncertainty. This forward-thinking initiative strengthens the agency’s ability to break the cycle of homelessness for generations to come.
