The Lord’s Place opened a new playground for formerly homeless children, provided by GL Homes,
at its Family Campus in West Palm Beach (June 1, 2017).
This playground was designed, built and funded by GL Homes as a community service for formerly homeless children at The Lord’s Place Family Campus in West Palm Beach. GL Homes is a community partner with The Lord’s Place, assisting formerly homeless clients at The Lord’s Place men’s, women’s and family campuses. They recognized that the children of The Lord’s Place Family Campus did not have a suitable playground and wanted to provide this so that the children of The Lord’s Place, who have faced hardship in their lives, have the pleasure of playing outdoors in a safe and fun environment, just like other children in our community. GL Homes spent 10 months and 100 working hours planning, designing and installing the playground, and paid $40,000 for the playground.
This effort is part of The Lord’s Place ongoing Tomorrow Fund programming to ensure that children living at The Lord’s Place Family Campus have the same opportunities for learning, growth and exploration on which to build a bright future.
The Lord’s Place is extremely grateful to GL Homes for its dedication to helping the homeless, especially in this most important and heartwarming way.
